Althea: Ten Months

  • Is getting harder to photograph! She thinks it’s hilarious to roll around when I’m trying to get her to smile at the camera.
  • Does this super adorable thing where she looks at you real surprised and goes “Ooooo!” about pretty much everything.

  • Took her first trip to the Pumpkin Farm! And we got her a pumpkin, but never got around to carving it. That can be a first for next year :)
  • Celebrated her first Halloween! Dressed as a Baby Bird, of course.

  • Pulls herself up on furniture every chance she gets, but isn’t real interested in walking along it just yet. She also lets go and stands for a while before falling, so we think it’s coming sooner than later.
  • Spent a few days in Virginia and DC, visiting friends and doing the DC Walk of Hope for Infertility Awareness! I’m pretty sure she spent more time asleep than awake over those 4 days…

  • Does not like to be told no, and throws a temper tantrum when you give her “the look.” We’re in for a treat when she’s a teenager! (She’s also a biter. Yay!)
  • Went on her first camping trip to Cook Forest, and it was freezing, so we spent most of the weekend bundled up by the fire.

  • Went to the Circus, but didn’t pay much attention, and took a nap in the middle, because, Thea.

  • Celebrated Imogen’s Baptism, and I had the honor of becoming her Godmother <3
  • Are finding solo activities to give each of us a break sometimes. Jut is playing basketball once a week, and I’m still looking, but considering starting a book club! (Let me know if you’d be interested in joining me, or have other ideas!)

  • Are really enjoying our RCIA classes. (I have more to say on this, but it doesn’t really fit in this post.)
  • Are completely hooked on “This is Us” (yes, Justin is, too!)

  • Are making plans and collecting ideas to make Althea’s First Christmas one to remember. (And I cannot express how excited we are to see her expression the first time we light up the Christmas tree!!)
