Althea: Eleven Months

I’m super late on this one. Just pretend this is being posted on December 6th, okay? Thanks :)

  • Is getting impossible to photograph laying down. This was the best I could do, and it’s the one reason I’m glad I only have one more to take!
  • Loves to Dance! As soon as any song comes on, whether it’s a commercial, or one of her toys, she immediately starts bouncing up and down in the most adorable fashion.

  • Points at everything and everyone. She doesn’t even care that she’s being rude ;)
  • Participated in her first Presidential Election, which didn’t end up how we wanted…
  • Celebrated her first Thanksgiving! First with Daddy’s family in Pittsburgh, and then with Mama’s family in Erie! And of course, she took a good nap on the car ride in between. She LOVED all the food and attention!

  • Eats literally anything we give her. And will continue eating until we cut her off. And yells at us if we don’t feed her fast enough.
  • Did a bunch of holiday things! She met Santa Claus, picked out her first Christmas tree, went to Light-Up Night downtown, on the Joy of Cookies Tour in Lawrenceville, and to Kennywood for the lights (and her first Carousel ride!) and to see her cousins sing with the girl scouts!

  • Started Walking!! She still chooses to crawl, but she walked across the room unassisted for the first time!

  • Spent a couple weeks in the trenches of our first Daylight Savings. She went from waking up at 3AM every night to 2AM every night and it was awful. But then there was an eight day streak where she started sleeping in til 5 or 6 and it was amazing!

  • Are having some serious car troubles! First I messed up our side mirror in a minor collision, and then someone rear-ended Justin badly, and our poor little Rogue might be totaled. We’re awaiting the final decision, and we’re not happy about the thought of starting over on payments :(

  • Had Justin’s cousin take some family photos for our Christmas card and they turned out more perfect than we ever could have imagined.
  • Took a day off work to see the new Harry Potter movie and Dr. Strange! It was so nice to have a whole day to ourselves.
  • Spent some time prepping for the arrival of my dad! He is moving back from Florida and will be staying with us until he finds his own place on the other side of town! We’re so excited to have him home!!
